| dc.description | En la primera mitad del siglo XIX, un grupo de intelectuales argentinos debate sobre la conformación cultural de la incipiente nación. La disputa entre clásicos y románticos ocupa un papel relevante en este debate. En la discusión se mezclan intereses políticos, además de estéticos. En ese escenario, Esteban Echeverría, Juan Bautista Alberdi y Florencio Varela,entre otros, forjan identidades propias y ajenas, atravesadas por significados ambiguos, queobligan a pensar las fronteras como espacios flexibles. Esas miradas (re)configuradorassobre los otros y sobre sí mismos constituyen el objeto de nuestro trabajo. | - |

The dispute between Classicists and Romantics playsa key role in this debate. Politicals and a esthetics interest combine in the discussion.
