| dc.description | Este artículo presenta un relato etnográfico sobre la “recreación de un juicio penal” bajo el sistema de juicio por jurados, el cual tuvo lugar en el Teatro Astral (2014). La convocatoria fue realizada por la Asociación Argentina de Juicios por Jurados (AAJJ), el Instituto de EstudiosComparados en Ciencias Penales y Sociales (INECIP) y el senador nacional Eugenio “Nito” Artaza. La puesta en escena del juicio por el asesinato de una joven mujer que tuvo por imputado a su amante reunió en el escenario a: actores profesionales, políticos y abogados. Presento la actuación como una estrategia de los reformadores de la justicia penal en pos de promover el juicio por jurados. Artaza había presentado tiempo antes un proyecto de ley de juicios por jurados, dado que este sistema de enjuiciamiento no se utilizaba en todo el país ni tampoco se preveía en el código de procedimientos penales a nivel federal vigente a esa fecha. Asimismo, despliego los sentidos que sus promotores le otorgaron a la puesta en escena del juicio oral, público y por jurados en diversas manifestaciones públicas, tanto en forma previa como posterior a su realización en el Teatro Astral donde utilizaron como soportes las redes sociales. En este evento se entrelazan el teatro y la política, generando una novedosa forma de activismo en pos de la reforma de la justicia en la Argentina. | - |
| dc.description | This article shows an ethnographic report about a “criminal trial recreation” under the trial by jury system, which took place in the Teatro Astral (2014). The invitation were addressed by the Asociación Argentina de Juicios por Jurados (AAJJ), the Instituto de Estudios Comparados en Ciencias Penales y Sociales (INECIP), and the national senator Eugenio “Nito” Artaza. The mise-in-scene of the trial for the murder of a young woman which had imputed her lover brought together in the stage: professional actors, politicians, and lawyers. I present the performance as a strategy of the criminal justice reformers for promoting the trial by jury. Artaza had present, a law project of trial by jury before, taking into account that this system of judging was not in use in all around the country neither was considered under the federal criminal justice proceeding code by this time. Indeed, I spread the senses that promoters granted to this mise-in-scene of an oral, public and jury trial in diverse publics’ statements, both prior and afterword of the event accomplishment in the Teatro Astral where they used like supper the social networks. In this event is shows linked theatre and politics, achieving a new way of engagement in pursuit the justice reform in Argentina. | - |
