| dc.description | Este artículo analiza la coyuntura que se extiende desde la campaña de las elecciones presidenciales de 2014 en Brasil hasta los primeros meses del segundo mandato de Dilma Rousseff, a partir de la perspectiva interdisciplinar de medios y política. Luego de realizar una reconstrucción de la relación entre medios y política durante los dos gobiernos de Lula da Silva y el primero de Rousseff, el artículo sugiere que durante la campaña presidencial de 2014 los principales medios de prensa intentaron perfilar inicialmente como "candidata revelación" a Marina Silva, proyectando sus posibilidades; al constatar que no entraría al balotaje apoyaron al candidato Aécio Neves, a la vez que buscaron involucrar a Rousseff en escándalos de corrupción. Finalmente, se considera el escenario político del segundo mandato de Rousseff, donde la candidata de la coalición de hegemonía petista, si bien ha triunfado electoralmente, se encuentra actualmente con restricciones en su accionar político originadas, entre otros factores, por su inacción en la política de regulación de los medios. | - |
| dc.description | This article analyzes the situation that comes from the 2014 presidential election campaign in Brazil until the first months of Dilma Rousseff second term, from the interdisciplinary perspective of "media and politics." After a reconstruction of the relationship between media and politics during the two Lula Administrations and Rousseff's first term, the article suggests that during the presidential campaign of 2014, the mainstream news media initially tried to present Marina Silva as a "breakthrough candidate," but when they realized that she could not win, they supported the candidate Aécio Neves, while they tried to involve Dilma Rousseff in corruption scandals. Finally, the study considers the political scene in Rousseff's second term, where the candidate of the PT coalition, although electorally successful, is currently under restrictions on her political actions due, among other factors, by the lack of media regulation. | - |
