| dc.description | El presente artículo identifica y caracteriza a un grupo de firmas industriales exportadoras de Lomas de Zamora. A partir de la combinación de información contenida en dos bases de datos de comercio exterior y un listado de exportadores regionales, se analiza el desempeño de las ventas externas de las firmas locales. Así, se identifican dos grupos de empresas: un grupo reducido de exportadores locales que se mantienen en el negocio exportador y que explica la mayor parte de las ventas externas generadas en el territorio y un segundo grupo, más numeroso, que entra y sale del negocio exportador y en donde las condiciones macroeconómicas parecen tener un rol relevante en su evolución. Las exportaciones se realizan fundamentalmente a países de destino cercanos geográfica y culturalmente; están concentradas en pocas empresas y son productos con mediano y bajo contenido tecnológico. Dicho esto, el análisis sugiere la presencia de firmas de competitividad internacional en el territorio e invita a pensar en qué medida hay otros potenciales exportadores por ser identificados y fomentados a futuro. Asimismo, parece interesante poder aunar esfuerzos a nivel local para compartir experiencias y eventualmente costos entre exportadores locales. | - |
| dc.description | In this article, a group of exporting industrial companies have been characterized and analyzed in Lomas de Zamora. From the combination of information got from the external commerce databases and a list of regional exporters, the development of external sales of local companies is analyzed. Therefore, two groups of companies are identified: A reduced group of local exporters who keep the exporting business and therefore are responsible for the majority of the external sales occurred in the territory; and a second group, more numerous, which goes in and out of the exporting business and where the macroeconomics conditions seem to have a relevant role in their evolution. The exports take place mainly with nearby countries, geographically and culturally speaking; they happen in few companies and the products have few or low technological contents. This analyzes suggests the presence of international competitive companies in the territory and invites to think about to what extent there might be other potential exporters to be identified and promoted in the future. Additionally, it seems interesting to unify efforts in the local area to share experience and eventuallycosts among local exporters. | - |
