| dc.description | El objetivo del trabajo es la estimación de la eficiencia en la producción lechera de la región pampeana de Argentina. Para ello, se estiman fronteras estocásticas de producción y costos, con información climática, de donde se obtienen la eficiencia técnica y económica. Finalmente, se calcula la eficiencia asignativa. Se utilizan datos de panel de 86 tambos de la región pampeana para los ejercicios productivos 2012/3 y 2014/5. Los resultados muestran una eficiencia de costos similar para ambos períodos (0,865) mientras que la eficiencia técnica decreció de 0,88 a 0,87. | dc.description | The aim for this paper is the estimation of the efficiency in the milk production in the pampean region of Argentina. For this purpose, stochastic frontiers of production and costs are estimated with climatic information, hence technical and economic efficiency is obtained. Finally, the allocative efficiency is calculated. Panel data of 86 dairy farms of the region is used for the productive periods 2012/3 and 2014/5. The results show similar cost efficiency for both periods (0.865) while the technical efficiency decreased from 0.88 to 0.87. In conclusion, the allocative efficiency is close to the unit. | - |
