| dc.description | La transformación urbana y arquitectónica de la ciudad de Rosario entre los dos Centenarios, uno relativo a una ciudad nueva y dinámica de casi doscientos mil habitantes y un nuevo puerto bullente, el otro habiendo avanzado sobre el río mediante el desarrollo paisajístico, recreativo e inmobiliario de la costa, es presentado a través de una serie de semblanzas: las imágenes de desarrollo en los proyectos y planes urbanos, la casa chorizo, palacios y un rascacielos, los adefesios urbanos como se recibieron obras ahora admiradas del modernismo catalán, la fisonomía racional, el stile littorio de cuatro obras monumentales que organizaron los espacios públicos, la época gris del desgravation style y finalmente los grands travaux emprendidos por las gestiones municipales de las últimas décadas que no solo pretendieron una reconversión estética de la ciudad, sino producir cambios culturales en el comportamiento social. | - |
| dc.description | The urban and architectural transformations of the city of Rosario between the two Centennials: the first concerning a new and dynamic city of nearly two hundred thousand inhabitants and a new bustling port; the second after having advanced over the river through the landscape, recreational and real estate development the coast, is presented through a series of sketches. The different chapters refer to: some images of urban plans and projects; the “chorizo” houses, some palaces and one skyscraper, urban eyesores as the now admired works of Catalan modernism were received, the rational physiognomy of modernism, the stile littorio in four monumental works that organized public spaces in a gray era, the desgravation style and finally the grands travaux undertaken by the recent local administrations that not only sought a retrofit of the city aesthetics, but also to produce major cultural changes in the social behavior. | - |
