| dc.description | Gavilea es un género de orquídeas terrestres, que habitan en la zona húmeda sur-occidental de Argentina, desde Neuquén hasta Tierra del Fuego e Islas Malvinas y en Chile desde la V Región hasta la XII Región. Las especies de Gavilea han sido tratadas parcialmente en floras regionales o en revisiones parciales del género, faltando una revisión taxonómica global que incluya tanto las especies argentinas como chilenas de Gavilea. Se realizó la primera filogenia del género Gavilea y los restantes taxones de la subtribu Chloraeinae, utilizando tres marcadores del cloroplasto y un marcador nuclear. La filogenia muestra que la subtribu Chloraeinae es monofilética, mientras que para recuperar la monofilia de Gavilea fue necesario redefinir los límites del género. Se realizó una revisión taxonómica de Gavilea abarcando todas las especies que lo componen. Se esclareció la identidad de taxones confusos, se propuso una nueva especie y una nueva combinación, se actualizó la lista de sinónimos y se elaboró la primera clave que abarca a las 17 especies del género. Utilizando técnicas de reloj molecular se estimaron las fechas de divergencia de la subtribu Chloraeinae, el género Gavilea y otros clados relevantes. Se discuten los eventos climáticos que pudieron haber llevado al surgimiento de estos grupos. Finalmente, se evaluó el estado de conservación de las especies de Gavilea, indicando cuales son las más vulnerables y sugiriendo futuros estudios para conservarlas. | - |
| dc.description | Gavilea is a genus of terrestrial orchids inhabiting the southern forests of Argentina, from Neuquén to Tierra del Fuego e Islas Malvinas and in Chile from the V Region to the XII Region. The species of Gavilea have been partially treated in local floras or partial revisions of the genus, but a global revision, comprising both the Argentinean and the Chilean species of Gavilea is still missing. In this thesis, the first phylogenetic analysis of the genus Gavilea and the remaining taxa of subtribe Chloraeinae was performed, using three molecular markers from the chloroplast and one nuclear marker. The resulting trees showed that the subtribe Chloraeinae is monophyletic, while in order to recover the monophyly of Gavilea, the genus had to be redefined. A taxonomic revision of Gavilea was carried out, including all the species of the genus. The identity of unclear taxa was solved, a new species and a new combination were proposed, the list of synonyms was updated and the first key comprising the 17 species of the genus was made. Using the relax clock methodology, the divergence time of the subtribe Chloraeinae, the genus Gavilea and other important clades of the group were estimated. The climatic events that may have caused the emergence of these groups are presented and discussed. Finally, the conservation status of all the species of Gavilea was evaluated, indicating the most vulnerable species and proposing future analyses related with the conservation of the genus. | - |
