| dc.description | Se describió la ontogenia de la cavidad oromandibular, tubo digestivo, ojos y vejiga gaseosa de larvas y prerreclutas de merluza colectados en la plataforma norpatagónica argentina, entre 1998 y 2009. Para describir el desarrollo de la cavidad oromandibular, se realizó una coloración diferencial de cartílago y hueso, y en el de la vejiga gaseosa, ojo y tubo digestivo, se utilizaron cortes histológicos, registrándose la aparición de las distintas estructuras u órganos que componen estos cuatro sistemas. Todos los eventos se referenciaron a la talla y edad de los individuos. Durante la transición entre la alimentación endógena y exógena, en individuos de 3 mm LS, se registró el comienzo de la funcionalidad de la boca, tubo digestivo y ojos. Entre los 5,5 y 6 mm LS, las larvas dejan de utilizar el mecanismo hiodeo para emplear el opercular, en la alimentación. Asimismo, el inicio de la funcionalidad de la vejiga gaseosa se detectó en ejemplares de 3,50 a 4,00 mm LS. En resumen, el desarrollo de las larvas de merluza es relativamente rápido, evidenciando una temprana adaptación a la autopropulsión y a una alimentación eficiente, permitiéndole una gran autonomía desde tallas pequeñas, aumentando así las probabilidades de supervivencia de la especie. | - |
| dc.description | The ontogeny of the oral cavity, digestive tract, eyes and gas bladder were described in hake larvae and prerecruits collected on the Northern-patagonian Argentine shelf, from 1998 to 2009. In order to describe the oral cavity development, differential staining of cartilages and bones was performed while for the gas bladder, eye and digestive tract, histological sections were used, registering the appearance of the different structures or organs that compose these four systems. All the events were correlated to the size and age of the individuals. During the transition between the endogenous and exogenous feeding (3 mm SL), the beginning of the functionality of the mouth, digestive tract and eyes was registered. Between 5.5 and 6 mm SL, the larvae stop using the hyoid mechanism in the feeding to use the opercular one. Morover, the beginning of the functionality of the gas bladder was detected in individuals of 3.5 to 4 mm LS. In summary, the development of the hake larvae is relatively fast, demonstrating an early adaptation to the self-propulsion and an efficient feeding, allowing a great autonomy since small sizes, and therefore increasing the probabilities of survival of the species. | - |
